| THE PRODUCER: | Douglas Trade Shows, the producer of the Hawaii Lodging, Hospitality & Foodservice Expo, was established in Hawaii in 1983 and is Hawaii's largest trade show management firm. It produces four statewide gift, jewelry, apparel and fashion accessory trade shows and has provided management for trade events serving the arts, the environment, architecture and disability industries. | ||||
| THE EXPO: |
Wednesday July 9th 10am to 6pm and Thursday July 10th 10am to 5pm, 2008 - Neal S. Blaisdell Center, 777 Ward Avenue - Honolulu, Hawaii 96814
Now in its 14th year, the Hawaii Lodging, Hospitality & Foodservice Expo was launched in 1995 as the Hawaii Hotel & Restaurant Expo to serve the members of the Hawai'i Hotel & Lodging Association and Hawai'i Restaurant Association. It is now the largest trade event in the State of Hawaii, and the only trade event providing access to buyers for the entire range of products and services for the State's most important economic sectors. Although,some industry seminars are offered, the primary objective of the Expo is to bring the buyers and suppliers together as a market to conduct business on the exhibit floor. |

| WHO ATTENDS: | 5,575 buyers attended the 2007 Expo. They represented Hawaii's architects, tourist attractions, caterers, colleges, commercial buildings, concessionaires, convenience stores, country clubs, golf courses, government agencies, grocers, health clubs, hospitals, hotels, interior designers, military, nightclubs, residential centers, restaurants, retirement homes, shopping centers and the school system. Admission is free and open to the industry only. The public is not admitted. | ||||
| THE MARKET: | Valued at over $10 billion annually, Hawaii's hospitality market is served by 70,000 hotel rooms, vacation rental and time share units and 2,500 restaurants and foodservice establishments. Honolulu, the State capital and metropolitan urban center, has a population of nearly one million. Strategically located in the mid-Pacific between Asia and the continental United States, the Hawaiian Islands are visited annually by over 7 million tourists from all over the world. | ||||
| WHAT IS EXHIBITED: | Products exhibited include amenities, appliances, art, baked items, bathroom fixtures, beds, beer, candy, carpet, carts, china, cleaning supplies, clocks, coffee & tea, cooking utensils, computer hardware & software, crystalware, desserts, drapes, flooring, fabric, frozen meats, fruits & vegetables, furnishings, glassware, gourmet foods, ice-cream, irons, key cards, lamps, linens, locks, menus, office supplies, pest control products, paper goods, promotional items, robes, safes, sanitation supplies, scales, signage, soft drinks, spirits, tabletop items, tableware, televisions, umbrellas, uniforms, wall-coverings, wines and more...

| PROMOTION: | All qualified Hawaii industry buyers receive Expo invitations and badges. Full-color ads are placed in all relevant trade publications circulated in Hawaii. Exhibitors also receive unlimited full-color invitations to send to as many of their customers as they like. The EXPO PREVIEW, a full-color tabloid-size newsletter, is sent to all qualified buyers three weeks before the Expo and includes the list of current exhibitors, their products and booth locations. All buyers also receive six contest entry forms to win high-valued travel prizes. To be eligible to win, they must deposit their entry forms at strategic locations throughout the Expo facility. | ||||
| THE FACILITY: | The Neal S. Blaisdell Center is a "non-union" municipal facility owned and operated by the City and County of Honolulu. There is abundant on-site and adjacent parking. Exhibitors may do their own display move-in, installation and dismantling. The Blaisdell Center is conveniently located between Waikiki Beach, the heart of Hawaii's tourist industry only (two miles away) and Honolulu's downtown commercial, business and capital district which are walking distance. | ||||
| BOOTH COST: | Pipe & drape exhibit booths 10' deep by 10' wide are $1,395 plus 4.5% tax and include: skirted display table, 2 side chairs, wastebasket, a 7" x 44" booth ID sign, a listing in the official Buyer's Guide given to all attendees, a listing and link on the Expo website and 4 exhibitor ID badges. 8' deep by 10' wide booths are also available for $1,295 plus 4.5% tax. Premium corner booth locations are an additional $175. An attendee list is offered free of charge to all exhibitors after completion of the Expo. | ||||
